"My work reflects my interest in nature's form, colour and movement. It is the sense of harmony and balance that comes from the interplay between these elements that continues to fascinate me."
Based in Sydney, Marlena creates contemporary patterns and artworks in her signature style that she developed in a German ceramic studio. She is inspired by the simple happenings in daily life and transcribes her designs onto ceramic ware, canvas and in fact any surface for that matter! Her illustrations inject life and magic into any setting. Lately she works digitally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Fine Arts (with Distinction), majoring in painting and textiles at UNSW Art and Design
