Bringing an Electrical Box to life

There is nothing more satisfying than exploring colour and all its variations! This electrical box in a toy store dealing with geometric shapes became an extension of this concept through the diamond shape that forms the pattern on the metal surface. Whilst the process was controlled, the colour combinations were guided by the intention to brighten up the space and to create a sense of harmony. It made me appreciate colour a whole lot more than I did before.

Rediscovering Chalk

At first I was skeptical about the chalk board project because I'd be using chalk, which doesn't like to stay put! On the other hand I loved the fact that I could erase a 'mistake' with just one hand movement. Because this

surface is in the play area of the store, expressions and images were chosen for their ability to inspire warmth and adventure through creative play. The initial sketches quickly grew into a bright and colourful landscape; a world featuring magnetic construction animals as well as

terrains inspired by the products on display. It was a lot of fun to create it and hopefully it doesn't get erased too quickly by hands.
